چکیده
Background The purpose of this study was to compare the functional outcomes and implant survivorship at a minimum 5 years follow-up several reconstruction techniques with or without metaphyseal cone stems variable length. Methods A retrospective comparative matched analysis performed from 2 prospectively collected databases. Only patients who underwent revision total knee arthroplasty procedures for aseptic causes using single design rotating hinge were analyzed. Patients separated into 3 groups: trabecular metal (TM) cones + short cemented (TM stem [SS]), TM long uncemented [LS]), no (NC) (NC LS). matching process based on age (±5 years) realized. Results About 99 included; 33 in SS group, LS NC group. mean time 9.3 years. significant difference improvement subscale pain, symptom, activities daily living, quality life Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome score knee, function Society Score observed favor group compared other groups. At 8 survivorship, components free any cause 90.9% 84.9% 90.6% Conclusion use tibial combined offers identical survival rate better outcome associated metallic augments follow-up.

Outcomes of Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty After Aseptic Revision to Total Knee Arthroplasty
Methods: The study was based on 768 failed primary TKAs revised to TKAs (TKA/TKA) and 578 failed primary UKAs revised to TKAs (UKA/TKA) reported to the Norwegian Arthroplasty Register between 1994 and 2011. Patient-reported outcomemeasures (PROMs) including the EuroQol EQ-5D, the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), and visual analog scales assessing satisfaction and pain were u...
متن کاملStemmed revision arthroplasty for aseptic loosening of total knee replacement.
Fifty-three failed knee replacements were revised using minimally constrained implants with smooth uncemented intramedullary stems and metal-backed tibial components. Polymethylmethacrylate was used only to replace lost bone near the surface of the implant. Excluding four knees which had serious postoperative complications, 91% had successful relief of pain, 84% had over 90 degrees of movement ...
متن کاملTantalum cones and bone defects in revision total knee arthroplasty.
Management of bone loss is a major challenge in revision total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The development of preformed porous tantalum cones offers new possibilities, because they seem to have biological and mechanical qualities that facilitate osseointegration. Compared to the original procedure, when metaphyseal bone defects are too severe, a single tantalum cone may not be enough and we have d...
متن کاملRevision total knee arthroplasty: causes and outcomes.
INTRODUCTION Local data on revision total knee arthroplasty (TKA) are limited. This study aims to assess the causes and outcomes of revision TKA in a single institution, with a 2-year follow-up. MATERIALS AND METHODS A retrospective review of case records of patients who underwent revision TKA in 2008 and 2009 in the authors' institution was performed. Outcome was assessed using SF-36, Oxford...
متن کاملRevision Total Hip Arthroplasty for Aseptic Failure
The results of 276 cemented revision total hip arthroplasties performed for aseptic failure between 1977 and 1986 have been reviewed. The mean time between revision and review was 75 months (range 30 to 144). Of 220 cases available for review, 159 were assessed clinically and radiographically, and 32 by postal questionnaire. Eighteen hips required further revision, 12 for loosening, two for sep...
